Tour Terms and Conditions

Dependant on tour a minimum of people is required to run any of our tours. We will notify you if the minimal numbers have not been met and a full refund will be given along with alternative dates or tours should you wish to move dates

Southern Cross Tours (the operator) operates throughout regions that are remote and maybe effected by weather and road conditions.

The operator will endeavour to adhere to all tour details as published, however, circumstances beyond our control such as road and weather conditions or mechanical failure may require to alter or cancel any route itinerary departure without notice. This is thought with full consideration for your enjoyment. NO REFUND or compensation will be given in these circumstances.

The operator reserves the right to cancel any tour, change vehicle type, alter the itinerary or arrange an alternative operator if necessary.

Southern Cross Tours cannot guarantee pick up or drop off times and are not liable for passenger failure to connect with other services. The operator will not accept responsibility for any problem, complaint or claim resulting from the provision of a service or failure to provide a service by any travel partner, transportation, accommodation or other supplier. Whilst we make every effort to safe guard our clients and their belongings we cannot be held responsible for personal injury or loss due to events, which are beyond our control.

All personal items are carried at the risk of the Passenger. Do not bring valuables, do not bring identity documentation,  do not bring passports, Southern Cross Tours and/or its employees accepts no responsibilities, or is liable for any act of omission whatsoever (whether inside or outside their control) for any tour which may result in any loss, damage, detention, diversion or theft in regard to personal belongings, and will be exempt from liability in respect of direct or indirect or consequential loss or damage, irregularity, delay liability and additional expenses, or inconvenience or any other event beyond its control including loss, other services, any acts of God, acts of government or other authorities, delays, strikes or cancellation or changes in itinerary or schedules whatsoever, howsoever by whosoever caused.

There are no secure facilities for personal items, while on tour,  you are specifically advised.

All children on any tour must be accompanied by an adult. Any person under the age of 16yrs must be accompanied by an adult 18+.

Ages – Infant and Child Rates:

Infants 0-1 years are permitted and travel at 50% of the child fare.  We must be advised of any infants and their ages at the time of booking. Car Seats are available and must be requested when booking.

Child age 2 to 16 years inclusive. Car and Booster Seats are available and must be requested when booking.

A maximum of 2 car seats per tour is permitted.

Tour Leaders, Escorts, Translators:

1 FOC Tour Leader or Translator per Private Charter vehicle, subject to availability.

Tour leaders or approved translators travelling with FIT pax on seat in coach tours may use child Net rate (to be requested

at time of booking).

CANCELLATION POLICY

PUBLIC TOURS          
Full refund is permitted for cancellations received more than 48 hours prior to departure.

Cancellations received within 48 hours of tour departure will attract a 100% cancellation fee (including no-shows)

Reschedule is permitted for request received more than 24 hours prior to departure.

No changes are permitted within 24 hours of departure.

 

GROUPS/PRIVATE TOURS            

Full Refund available if notified 5 days prior to tour date

Cancellation/reduction in pax 2 – 4 days prior to tour departure time – 50% OF FARE.  
Reschedule of tour permitted free of charge up to 24 Hours prior.
Cancellation/reduction in pax inside 48 hours or no show – 100% OF FARE

No changes are permitted within 24 hours of departure.

PAYMENT TERMS

All bookings require full pre-payment, which must be received a minimum of 7 days prior to departure.

For group bookings (8+ pax) and private charters 50% deposit at time of booking. Balance payable 7 days prior to departure.

If a Credit account has been approved, your company will be invoiced every 14 days, with payment required within 7 days from the date of invoice.
