Tamborine Mountain:

Your day begins when we pick you and your group up from your Gold Coast accomodation and begin the journey up the mountain. Travel past eucalyptus forest to spot koalas in the wild and enjoy city and coastal views.

Vineyard

When visiting the Scenic Rim, a stop at a vineyard is a must. O’Reilly’s own Canungra Valley Vineyard set beside a mountain stream, gives you the chance to check out the vineyard, feed Alpacas and enjoy a glass of sparkling wine.

Here we settle in under a silky oak tree for a private picnic style lunch complete with Picnic Bubbles and a wine tasting paddle. This is an ideal way for you to unwind and enjoy the great outdoors and the clean, fresh air of the Canungra Valley.

Lookout

Our next stop is Kamarun lookout.  This is a magical place to get the perfect panoramic shot of stunning 300-degree views across the valley of the scenic rim extending from the Gold Coast to Brisbane.

A stop at a local mountain café for morning tea with scones with jam and cream. Following morning tea, we will take you for a fully guided rainforest walk to the cascading Curtis Falls waterfall.

A visit to Gallery walk is a must do while on Tamborine with is choice of arts and crafts, distillery, cheese factory and homemade fudge stores.

Then enjoy the views as we travel through the valley to the summit of World Heritage-listed Lamington National Park, part of the largest continuous, subtropical rainforest anywhere on earth.

O’Reilly’s Rainforest Retreat:

Upon arrival at O’Reilly’s Rainforest Retreat your guide will explain the O’Reilly’s amazing history including the Stinson plane crash. Experience a birds eye view of the forest below on the tree top walk consisting of 9 suspension bridges 16 metres above ground. A special wildlife experience awaits once you return. Grab your camera out, as you won’t want to miss getting a shot of the wild King Parrots or Crimson Rosellas feeding from your plate!

As we head back down the mountain you will experience the true beauty of the region as the road winds its way through tunnels of rainforest canopy and eucalyptus trees. Look out for wildlife in the treetops as we drive past.

Remove the hassle of driving, enjoy the wine and experience the hinterland with the Gold Coast’s most experienced rainforest tour operator.

The return journey provides sweeping views of the valleys and surrounding mountain ranges, while you sit back and relax enjoying the company of your group before you arrive home.

We did the the Lamington National Park, O‘Reilly‘s & Vineyard Tour with Jamie and we enjoyed it very much! We were a small group and it felt very individually. First we drove on a very narrow, winding and scenic road through the rain forest of Lamington NP stopping at a lookout. Then we came to the beautiful O‘Reilly‘s Retreat in the Mountains where we did a board walk and tree top walk which was amazing! Afterward we fed the King Parrots and the Crimson Rosellas: Really funny and spectacular 🙂 On our way back to Surfers Paradise we had a nice lunch at O‘Reillys Canungra Vineyards. A perfect Day! Thanks to our guide Jamie for the safe driving, the very good commentaries, his knowledge about trees, plants, birds and animals!
